Install the Android gateway app, then pair one subscriber-owned phone for QuackerLite.

Step 1: Install Gateway APK

Scan this QR with the Android gateway phone to download the current Quacker SMS Gateway.

APK downloads require Terms agreement before the file starts.

Step 2: Create Pairing QR

Pairing codes expire after 30 minutes. QuackerLite allows one paired user gateway phone.

Allow Android App Permissions

After the APK is installed, Android may still require these permissions to be turned on manually.

  1. Open Settings on the gateway phone.
  2. Open Apps.
  3. Tap the Quacker app.
  4. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
  5. Tap Allow all permissions.
  6. On the permissions screen, manually allow every item in this checklist.
  • Send and view SMS messages
  • Receive text messages SMS
  • Receive text messages MMS
  • Read your text messages SMS and MMS
  • Have full network access
  • View network connections
  • Run foreground service
  • Run foreground service with the type "datasync"

Android wording can vary by phone model. If a permission is already allowed, leave it allowed and continue down the checklist.

Keep the Android default messaging app unchanged. Quacker reads completed inbound SMS/MMS from the gateway phone and uploads them into the matching thread.

Every APK download and every new gateway pairing requires Terms agreement. Subscriber access is controlled separately by lab.aibizshop.com.
